We're Back!

There is a very good reason we haven't blogged lately......we were on vacation!! We spent the month of July visiting family in the States....we traveled over 3700 miles....It was great to see so many of you. Thanks to everyone who made this trip possible....With wonderful gifts, lodging, resupplying our kids for school, everything.....we don't take you for granted and see it for what it is...a wonderful, unexpected provision from the hand of a Good God! We are now back in Tallinn and already right back at it. We will have another five day club in about a week...this one in a park not far from the Corps, right across the street from the British Embassy...many of you know that the five day club we had just before vacation reached 37 new children and we don't want to lose momentum.....Then it is our Church Camp at Loksa (The Salvation Army Camp for Estonia, in the country a block from the Gulf of Finland.....and so it goes. Right now Susan is in Prague, Czech Republic for the European Youth Congress, with five teenage delegates from Estonia. She is the leader of the Youth Mission Team for Finland and Estonia and has blossomed in this leadership role. Anyway, here are a few pictures from our vacation, enjoy. We were able to spend a few days in Ellenton Flordia with Susan's parents...It turned out in was "cooler" here then when we arrived in Philadelphia. 

We enjoyed a family picnic at my (Phils) brother Dan's house in Prospect Park, just outside of Philadelphia. Dan is in the backrow, first on the left......It was only in the high 90's this day!! It was a great evening....Thanks Dan!  

Emma is just upside down about seeing her cousins, Danielle and Stacy, they are the daughters of my (Phil's) brother Larry and his wife Lynne.  

Officer and Gentlemen

During this past weekend we had a Salvationist Band from Iceland name "Officer and Gentlemen". Here are some pictures of their time with us at "The Lines" , Camp Loksa and Sunday Morning Worship. We were very sorry to see them go.

Getting out and into our "parish"

For five days, starting 16 June, we conducted a Five Day Club in the local school yard, within a five minute walk of the Corps (church). God gave us favor with the Headmaster, as he was more than happy to grant us permission to be on school property. Despite the forecast for rain on many of the days, we experienced, truly, perfect weather! We reached about 35 new children and believe they will be the foundation for invigorating our youth activities this summer and fall. What an exciting week it was, none of us wanted it to end!
