Party Evangelism...and some very sad news

Not sure if anything has been written about this...but we have found something that works here in Tallinn...lets call it Party Evangelsim.....Big celebrations, incorporating your regular programs, but with a special emphasis in a party atmosphere...We had a watermellon party which was a big success, and now is the time of year for the Corps Christmas Parties. The really great thing is that the Gospel is preached and kids are given the opportunity to respond! A special thanks to Mailis for all her work on these parties and the creative ways in which she has presented the Word! We will be having our Lines party, Lasnamae party and Social Work Party the first week in January...keep looking.

The very sad news we had to announce this week is that the Wittenberg family is being transferred back to the States in January. We love you...all of you...our Church here, what God has done here, we will never be the same..you have touched us is deep and profound ways..we are forever different and better people for having served Him here....Our approach to ministry will never be the same...

Danielle! Great to hear from you! If we had to leave Tallinn (hardest thing we have ever done) then truly the only place I can think I would want to be (besides Cleveland!) is Philly! We will see you more often, and Stacy too! You are welcome at our house too! - Phil and Susan

I am always on the late show. I missed it! What is happening? I see you are farewelling and headed to - PHILLY? Whereabouts? Do tell! We are thinking of you and your family. Hope to hear from you soon. (Everytime I try to email at your email address, I never get a response so I have to use the blog!)

WOW! We had no idea... I am sorry as I can imagine this is very hard to leave a place you have put your heart and soul into. I know that you always expect to move eventually but we will be thinking of you during this transition.

Philly? Talk about full circle - I forwarded your comment about T.O.P. to Bob. We have seen them several times since we've been in Az. They are STILL amazing!

Well, you better get out here to Az. now that you are stateside once again!

Please don't lost touch - send your email once you get settled and we will continue to read the blog.

Hugs,
Bob & Margie

Majors Wittenberg,

My name is Mary, and I am a soldier at the Pioneer Corps. I am very excited that you will be coming to our corps. I can imagine that you will bring a very unique perspective on ministry for our community.
Please know that we have been praying for you, even before we knew who was coming, or when. If there is anything you need to make your adjustment to Philadelphia go more smoothly, please don't hesitate to ask.
Also, please let the members of the corps you are coming from know that we will do our best to take good care of you as you pastor and lead us. We will be blessed because of how they have impacted your lives and your experiences with them, and for that we are grateful.

Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like (maryannparks@gmail.com)

Dear Phil and Sue,

Mary just asked you if you need anything to make the transition smooth. I say nothing says WELCOME like a large cheesesteak! :-)

Loved the Christmas pics! I found a picture of you and Sue from your WEDDING. I am going to ask Lauren to help me scan it this weekend and send it to you. (Need your email AGAIN!)

Hugs,
