This was taken - I think - on December 24th! We were planning on opening our presents the Estonian way - Christmas Eve - But Emma fell asleep - so we waited till the 25th....and no verivorst!!
Actually, Daddy Philip fell asleep first (so tired after a long, hard and good Christmas Kettle season) while Emma and Jacob were the last ones to drop off, sleeping by the Christmas tree. 6:30 came and we woke up as a family ready to celebrate again. They did open one gift on Christmas eve. though.
That's a wonderful Estonian tradition! That's how it is with my family :) Christmas Eve was always the special night for opening gifts because my mom always worked Christmas morning.
